The goal
The pond is crowded with koi. Tap a koi and it swims straight ahead, the way its head points. If the way out is clear, it leaves the pond. Free every koi to clear the level.
Bumps
If another koi is in the way, the koi you tapped bumps into it and swims back to its place. Bumps cost a heart, so look before you tap: find a koi whose path to the edge is open, and free it first. Each koi that leaves opens the way for others.
Whirlpools
From level 6 you will meet whirlpools. A koi that swims over one turns a quarter turn โ clockwise or counter-clockwise, as the arrow on the whirlpool shows โ and keeps swimming in the new direction. Follow the whole path before you tap.
Big koi
From level 11 some koi are two tiles long. A big koi needs its whole path clear, and while it stays it can block several smaller koi at once โ free it at the right moment.
Stars
Clear a level with no bumps for three stars, with one bump for two stars, and any other clear for one star.
Tips
- Start from the edges: koi near the edge facing out are usually free.
- Look for the koi that blocks the most others and plan how to free it.
- Stuck? Use Undo, or Hint to light up a koi that can leave now.
